Hidden amongst the behemoth fanfare of the new Xbox One announcement, Slitherine have confirmed some details of their first strategy game using the Warhammer 40,000 IP from Games Workshop. Titled Warhammer 40k: Armageddon, the game will feature a campaign set during the massive Ork invasion led by Ghazghkull Thraka, also featuring the Imperial Guard Steel legion and Blood Angels and Salamanders Space Marine allies.

Characters you potentialy meet during the campaign reference Commisar Yarrik leading the Steel Legion and Commander Dante of the Blood Angels. Over 30 missions during the campaign and several tutorial missions beforehand. A total of 100 units feature with 20 different statistics for them, the combat will also take into account weather effects, morale and terrain, as well as featuring persistent units between missions with upgradeable equipment.
